Multidisciplinary Artist and Educator working in Design, Printmaking, Sculpture & Bookbinding.

The media are not toys… they can be entrusted only to new artists, because they are art forms.

Bradford & Leeds, UK.

I am a multidisciplinary artist based in Bradford. My practice combines traditionally made silkscreen prints, monoprints, collagraphs and some sculptural processes such as woodcuts and epoxy resin. My exploratory approach to printmaking consists of altering formal ways of working in printmaking, through a system repeat process in order to create chance compositions and printed surfaces. I completed my masters degree in Fine Art from the University Of Central Lancashire in 2022.

Importantly, my wide-ranging experience of teaching printmaking processes at Universities, Schools and Print Workshops informs and inspires my practice whilst contributing to the collaborative ethos of the printmaking community. I see print rooms as spaces for collective making, as well as discussion and display: I have collaborated with students and participants to create monoprints, posters, zines and books at London College of Communication, Leeds Beckett University, Leeds Arts University, Carlton Bolling Bradford, National Media Museum Schools Programme, Bradford, WYPW and Leeds Print Workshop.

My work delves into the language, boundaries, and aesthetics of the printed image, exploring themes of illegibility, obscurity and privacy. The artworks emerging from my interdisciplinary approach seek to experiment with the methods by which images are constructed. Grounded in physicality, my artistic expression is connected to the materiality of printed surfaces and how they may be presented and interpreted.
